The anniversary of the best day of my parents' life is rapidly approaching. The day that they welcomed their daughter into this world is one that they will never forget-I will make sure of that! In the weeks leading up to my birthday I thought that I wouldn't really be excited because all of my milestones in my youth had been fulfilled- 16, 18. 21. But nope, I was wrong! I am still just as excited to celebrate another year of life. I look forward to my birthday just as much as I do every year!
I think that part of my excitement comes from all that has happened in my life in the past year. I have built many new relationships and have gotten several steps closer to achieving my education goals. I think that rather than being upset that I don't really have any more milestones to come in the near future I am excited just that I have completed another year in my lifelong journey and am still headed in the right direction. Juliana and I have had some road bumps along the way and moments when we didn't know which end was up but something that has never ceased to be true is that my God has always shown us the way. It's so amazing to me that no mater what happens and what we do and how many times we turn away from Him, He just refuses to turn his back on us. He loves us through it all and man does He do it well!
So cheers to another year of life completed and to God always being my rock through it all!
Congratulations Mom and Dad, you have been parents to the coolest person on the planet for another year and many more to come ;-)
